Hecha la fiesta de KDE 4.5

A pesar de que nos retrasaron el lanzamiento de KDE SC 4.5 —nuestro motivo de celebración o excusa principal de reunión— una semana, esperemos que para bien; a pesar de que nos costó más de lo que planeábamos; y a pesar de que varios potenciales asistentes desistieron... ayer hicimos la Jornada de celebración del lanzamiento de KDE SC 4.5 en Rosario \o/.
Fue la primera fiesta de KDE-AR en nuestra ciudad. Tuvo lugar en el restobar La Favrika. Llegamos a ser unas 10 personas en total, aunque sólo 8 simultáneamente; esperábamos ser más pero ya es un logro haber conseguido lo que conseguimos. Contamos con y agradecemos la presencia de pibes del LUGRo (el Grupo de usuarios de GNU/Linux de Rosario); de yipman y su amigo, quienes se vinieron desde Buenos Aires específicamente para esta fiesta; de abuhacker, nuestra organizadora jefe; de varios familiares; y de mí, claro (sí, me agradezco a mí mismo).
Teníamos programada una charla introductoria al software libre de mano de abuhacker, que, si la dio, la dio en dos minutos mientras yo andaba por otro lado viendo si venía alguien. Desafiando al don, a continuación yo di una charla introductoria a KDE, mi primera charla, medio rústica y muy mejorable en mi opinión pero dentro de todo bien, que espero que haya servido —o vaya a servir, cuando vos o alguien futuramente la lea o escuche— para que tengan un poco más de idea sobre el proyecto y la comunidad, y se prendan a formar parte de KDE-AR. El texto de mi charla está disponible para quien quiera leerla, pronto también lo van a estar la presentación en ODP y la grabación de gran parte de la misma, ¡que va a atestiguar que la di!
Hay disponibles algunas fotos, que reflejan nuestra seductora nerdosidad. Aunque yo definitivamente no sé salir en las fotos: estas se limitan a reflejar mi nerdosidad sin calificativos agregados.
Más tarde nos quedamos a cenar ahí. Los CD de Kubuntu que repartió yipman nos vinieron bárbaros como apoyavasos. Conversamos sobre diversos temas, desde la nueva gestión dinámica de ventanas de KDE hasta De Icaza, pasando por otros no tan fuertes, como la inutilidad de las letras K y W en español, la prostitución o la necesidad de una dispensa judicial para contraer matrimonio homosexual con menores. Y escuchamos a la banda que tocaba, Revival, muy excitante.
Para acabar, si esta estuvo aceptable, la próxima fiesta rosarina va a ser orgásmica. Y vos podés ayudar a lograrlo.
